In this class we will work on making a seed pod using a resist to create 3-D hollow sculptural shapes. Nature will be our inspiration! Bring paper and pencils to draw your ideas as we will try to interpret natural shapes and experiment using those forms to come out with a beautiful felted sculpture.
This workshop is suitable for people with some felting experience, but not beginners as we won’t teach the basics.
We will have a potluck lunch, giving everyone time to socialize with the instructor and fellow students.
What to bring:
- Materials are included, but feel free to bring personal roving, locks or yarn to add to your piece.
- Something to share for the potluck lunch
- Personal beverages and snacks
- Layered clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty
- Notebook and camera if desired
