Jennifer is a fiber artist and sculptor whose work ranges from wearable art to room-sized installations. She received her BFA in Jewelry/Metals from Western Michigan University in 2007 and her MFA in Fibers from Savannah College of Art and Design in 2014. Additionally she has studied at Alchimia School of Contemporary Jewelry in Florence, Italy and at Penland School of Craft in North Carolina.
Jennifer’s work has been exhibited throughout the United States and in Italy and has won numerous prizes, including Best of Show at Fantastic Fibers in 2010, the 2011 London International Creative Competition Shortlist and the 2013 Niche award for decorative fiber.
She has work published in 500 Felt Objects from Lark Books and an upcoming title Worldwide Colours of Felt. She has participated in residencies in Paducah, KY and at Society for Contemporary Craft in Pittsburgh, PA.
In addition to her studio practice Jennifer teaches part-time in the Fibers department at Savannah College of Art and design. She also travels to teach short workshops in various fiber techniques, particularly felting and natural dying. She is co-founder and exhibition director of Sulfur Studios, a collective studio and gallery space in Savannah, GA.
