Wet Felted Hat Using a Resist Shape

This is a one-day workshop in which the students will learn to make a hat using a resist to make a 3D shape. This technique is also used to make bags, cat caves and vessels. We will also lean how to use the resist as a design element to add texture and embellishment to the hat. I will show you the basic techniques that will help you in the future to make your own creations, and you will take home a finished hat that you made.

We will have a potluck lunch, giving everyone time to socialize with the instructor and fellow students.

What to bring:

  • Something to share for the potluck lunch
  • Personal beverages and snacks
  • Layered clothing that you don't mind getting dirty
  • Notebook and camera if desired
